The Wet Brush vs Tangle Teezer

I really struggle with knotty hair!
I am a devil for not brushing my hair after a shower as I like my natural, unbrushed hair. However, to prevent the 'messy natural hair' that I like from turning into a general mess that looks like a hideous birds nest on my head, I do like to run a brush through the top layers of my hair.

For years I have struggled through the pain of dragging a bog standard brush through my scruffy locks.
I grew growingly frustrated with hair brushes claiming do great things to your hair and I had tried sprays and solutions to try and help the pain.

When I heard about the tangle teezer, I was excited to buy it but honestly, it must have taken me a good few months to actually bring myself to do it (after past experiences).
For around £10.99, it seemed a risk as I had already been let down by many other products on the market.
Finally, I did it.

After using the tangle teezer for about a month, I then heard about the Wet Brush and knew I had to try it! Credit to my lovely Auntie, who is also the best hairdresser, for highly recommending this brush and hooking me up with one (haha).

I bet you are all sitting on edge now, thinking 'well, what does she think of them, are they good?' (maybe not) but nether the less, this is a review...

To be honest, I love both brushes! (sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to a product slate)

They definitely both have their pros and cons:

Tangle Teezer
+Amazing at working through knots without you really realising
+Very pleasing to the eye and I struggled to decide which colour combination to get
- Not the easiest brush to hold, especially when working through knotty hair
- Slightly overpriced

The Wet Brush
+ Virtually painless at removing knots (better than the tangle teezer)
+ So easy to hold
- I am not a huge fan of the colour choices
- Like the Tangle Teezer, it seems slightly over priced to me
- Definitely for wet hair (I find it actually sort of hurts my knotty dry hair, weird!)

If I had to pick a favourite, I would choose The Wet Brush, purely due to the fact that it is easier to hold!

All in all however, I would recommend either of these brushes to anyone, whether your hair is a bit tough or really knotty. I look forward to seeing what long term benefits these two brushes give to my hair and I will be using them both equally...
