Review | Kiko Long lasting Lip Marker

Whilst away in Portugal over the summer, I came across a Kiko store. I am always hearing good things about Kiko so when I spotted it, I was keen to go and have mooch around. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of, well, everything! Every colour nail polish, a huge variety of different lip products and so much more!

It was actually all very overwhelming and as someone who likes to do research into beauty products before buying them, I felt slightly lost. However, when I wandered over to the lipstick stand, I was drawn in by the Long Lasting Lip Markers. In only a few shades, four I think, the variety wasn't great, especially when you compare the colour range to the extensive nail varnish collection! Still, I was very curious about these unique little products and so, of course, I picked one up!

It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I actually used this for the first time and to my disappointment, it had started to dry out. Not a great first impression.

The colour definitely packs a punch as it is a standard red which is highly pigmented. Given the name of this product, I was expecting it to be a long lasting lip stain and to my pleasure, it was! The staying power is pretty good however by the end of the day my lips were more pink than bright red...

My feelings about the pen style itself are mixed. We all know how much I love a good chubby stick due to their easy application. I like the idea of a pen, however, I felt as though I was having to be very precise and neat with the application, something I'm not great at! Im sure with a bit of practice and patience, this would get easier.

Finally, the packaging. Probably my favourite aspect of the product. I think it looks quite neat and although it highly resembles a felt tip, we can look beyond that and see a simple and stylish lip product!
