Howdy:)
So, todays post, as you may have already guessed is about lips and colour and my current faves - chubby sticks! Yes, I am aware the hype has been and gone already but I couldn't not post this because I am still loving this fabulous product!
Top: Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush 'The Redder, The Better' Middle: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense 'Hefty Hibiscus' Botton: Clinique Chubby Stick Intense 'Plushest Punch'
I am wearing Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in the shade 04 - 'Hefty Hibiscus'
So first up, Clinique's 'Chubby Stick Intense'
This a-maz-ing orangey/pinky/red colour is 'Hefty Hibiscus'
This colour is the newest member of my ever growing collection of lip products and I already absolutely love it even after just a few wears!
'Plushest Punch' which is also by Clinique is the most beautiful colour, it is such a vibrant and intense pink which is perfect for everyday use and evening wear.
So the main reasons I am writing this post are firstly, to completely rave about the fabulous colours, creamy formulas and general lushness of the amazingly nourishing Clinique Chubby Sticks. They are 100% my favourite product ever and the only real complaint I have about them is the price because at £17 a go, they aren't exactly affordable. However, you most definitely get what you pay for because they are, as I have said about a thousand times already, AMAZING!
Secondly, I wanted to mention the fact that other brands, such as Rimmel and Revlon, have caught onto the fact that Chubby Sticks are so popular and have therefore begun to bring out their own versions. Due to the fact that Clinique don't make their sticks very affordable, I decided to give the 'Revlon Colour Rush' products a try. I wouldn't say they are awful, the colours are really intense and I am a fan! However, when comparing to Clinique's product, which I am naturally going to do, I noticed that Rimmel's sticks are not as nourishing. Nourishment is important to me as my lips get sore and dry so easily - no one wants that flakey chapped lipstick look. The 'Long Lasting Colour Balm' is not overly true to it's name as I wouldn't say it is long lasting, nor is it really a balm as the formula is a lot stiffer and less creamy in comparison to my ultimate fave, the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense.
Thank you for spending the time to read this...
