Crafts in a cup

Ive been photographing these amazing vintage tea cups for my mum's new business and I got slightly carried away and ended up piling a load of cute cotton reels and other arty bits and bobs into the composition. I also ended up using this particular photograph in one of my final photography projects.

I just love everything about this image from the composition to the subject matter to the reason why I ended up taking such a cute photograph. It completely reminds me of spring and summer and things related to these seasons (sunshine, picnics and afternoon tea) and considering its currently raining, looking through my photos and seeing this cheered me right up!

Portaiture

This is my first official photograph post so I decided to share one of my most favourite and technically interesting shots. Taken on a bitter winter walk in the sunshine, how ironic! I love the idea of ‘covert’ in this photograph as it adds mystery to the model by covering his face. The cotswold style building in the background creates a clash of colours with the clothing in the foreground (green shirts and orange/yellow cotswold stone).

This photo was taken as part of a project for my A Level photography course based around portraiture.
